課程概述

這是一門為國立台灣大學戲劇學系碩士班及學士班開授的講授課程。作為台大文學院 “經典人文學程” 及“歐洲研究學程”，也讓外系高班學生及研究生選修。每週星期二上課，每次三小時，中間有一次20分鐘的小休。學生除了聽課及參與研討外，並將參加兩次考試。
　　　
　　　 

課程目標
 嚴格說來，這是一門“劇場史”而非“戲劇史”，將以介紹劇場發展及演出形式為主，劇本及劇作家雖會提及，但不會討論他們劇本的內涵，僅以某些名劇為例討論那個時代的演出方式。

課程將分八大部份，一學期內授完，因此將會極端緊湊，最後的現代戲劇部份很可能無法顧及。大致內容分述於下，將以Power Point方式授課，包括大量圖片及影音資料。
